Method of inventory valuation and cost allocation, according to which products or materials leave the warehouses in the chronological order of entry, and therefore the balance value of the inventories is constituted by the cost of the last items acquired. The FIFO method, in inflationary situations, produces higher profits than other methods such as LIFO.
